The 5 Day Bootcamp

Don't Waste The First Day Of Your Season

It is not your board and it is not your days on snow. Five days and you will see it in your own riding.

The first hour

You already know how this goes

The drive up in the dark. The boots. The first chair. Then that first run where you are not riding so much as negotiating.

Legs burning by the bottom. Half a season of rust to knock off, and a quiet calculation running the whole time about which runs you are actually up for today.

You tell yourself it will come back. It does, eventually. That is the part everyone accepts without ever asking what it costs.

By the time it comes good you have burned two days. Usually three. You do not get those back.

The average snowboarder gets five to eight days a season. So that is a third of your winter, sometimes half, gone before you rode one run the way you can actually ride.

First chair before sunrise
The first two or three days of every season go to getting your legs back. Nobody counts them, and they are the most expensive days you buy.
Ten minutes tonight. Nothing to buy, nowhere to go.
Why the tips stop working

It is not fitness and it is not talent

A rider sitting on the snow strapping in

On your first day nobody had told you how to stop. Your body invented something to keep you alive: back leg heavy, hips square, eyes locked on the snow in front of you.

It worked. You got down the hill. That is exactly the problem, because you kept it.

Every tip you have collected since is balanced on top of that one survival habit. It is why you can watch a tutorial, understand every word, and still ride down the same. No tip fixes a foundation.

None of it is your fault. This sport never had a pre-season. Footballers do not turn up in August and play themselves into shape in front of a crowd. Snowboarding hands you a lift ticket and wishes you luck, so everybody shows up cold and calls the first three days getting their legs back, as though that were free.

Tommie inverted mid rotation with a grab, high above the jump

"I could do a backside 900 before anyone had taught me a single fundamental. Then I broke my back and almost ended up paralyzed, and I came back scared. Somebody finally sat me down and taught me the basics. One season changed my riding and it changed my life, and that was when I understood it was never talent."

Tommie Bennett, founder

If fundamentals could do that for a rider who could already spin nine hundred degrees, ask what they would do for you.

What you actually do

Five nights, in order

1
The stance you invented at nineAnd the one nobody gave you. You film the ugly one on purpose, so you have something to beat.
2
A stance is not a poseWhy holding it rigidly is the next mistake, and what it should do underneath you instead.
3
It is not your gearWhat the board is actually doing, and why a new one will not fix any of this.
4
See your own worst habitHow to find the one thing that matters on your own footage, without a coach standing there.
5
Film it againSide by side with night one. That is the moment it stops being my opinion.
Night 1Thirty seconds of how you ride right now
Night 5The same thirty seconds, after the five

Two clips, side by side, both of them yours. That comparison is the thing almost no rider has ever had.

Night one opens the moment you pay.
Day one, either way

What actually changes

A group of riders at the top of a run
Same mountain, same conditions, same five days. The only variable left is what you brought with you.
Without this
  • Two or three days spent getting your legs back
  • The same habit you built at nine, still steering
  • Tips that make sense and change nothing
  • No idea what you actually look like
  • Quietly wondering if it is the board
With it
  • Day one starts where April left off
  • A stance somebody gave you on purpose
  • One thing to work on, not nine
  • Thirty seconds of proof you filmed yourself
  • You know it was never the board
Straight answers

The three reasons you will not do this

Riders on a chairlift
Every rider on that chair is carrying the same habit. Almost none of them know it is there.
"I have been riding for years."Then you have had longer to build on the habit than anybody. Fifteen years of reps on a foundation nobody set is the case for this, not against it.
"I will just ride more."Riding more is how the habit got this deep. Reps do not correct a movement, they install it.
"I cannot practise without snow."None of the five nights need snow. That is the whole design, because the season is not where you have time to learn.
Ten minutes on the sofa, no gear.

Before you ask

How long does each night take?
About ten minutes. You can do all five in one evening if you want, though the point lands harder spread out.
Do I need snow, a gym or any gear?
None of it. Five nights on your living room floor and a phone to film thirty seconds with.
I am a total beginner. Is this too advanced?
It is the opposite problem. This is the foundation, so a first season rider gets it before the bad habit forms, which is the best time to do it.
Does it expire?
No. It sits in the app and waits, and you can run through it again before every season.
What if it does not work for me?
Do night one and send me the clip, so you can see for yourself. Not happy within 7 days? Email team@jibbiti.com for a full refund.

Five nights, and day one is different

You will get a handful of days this winter. This is how you stop spending the first of them catching up.

One payment. Yours for good.

Coming this season

Every level. Every skill. One course.

A full breakdown of every level and every skill from the Rider Level system, plus the freestyle course, each as its own short video. Being filmed for the start of the season.

Count how many snowboard tips you have watched. Two hundred? More?

Now name what you actually got better at last season. Most riders cannot, and it is not because they were lazy.

It is because a tip only works if you are ready for it. The same five second clip that transforms one rider does nothing for another, and the only difference is what they already had underneath it. Order is the entire game, and YouTube serves you in the order that gets clicks, not the order that builds a rider.

So you have a pile of parts and no instructions. You did not fail at snowboarding. You were handed a jigsaw with no picture on the box.

I spent twenty years collecting tips, and I was good. Backside 900 good.

Then I broke my back and had to start again, and for the first time somebody taught me in order. Not more tips. The same things I already knew, put in the sequence they were supposed to go in.

One season. It changed my riding and it changed my life.

That sequence is what this is. I have taught it to 1,500 riders since, and it is the thing I wish somebody had handed me at eight years old instead of a lift ticket.

Clip Breakdown

You cannot see your own worst habit. Ten seconds of video can.

Send one clip. Inside 48 hours you get it back marked up frame by frame, with the one thing to fix and exactly what to do on your next run.

You have already filmed yourself. Almost everyone has.

You watched it back in the car park, and you could tell something was off. You just could not tell what. So you decided it was your posture, or your board, or that you need to commit more, and you rode the rest of the season on that guess.

Here is why watching your own footage rarely works. Your brain plays you what you meant to do. It has the intention, so it fills it in, and it edits out the exact half second where it went wrong. That is not a discipline problem. It is how everybody watches themselves.

A coach does not have your intention. A coach only has what actually happened, so the half second you cannot see is the first thing they notice.

When I came back from breaking my back, I could not work out why heelside felt like falling.

I had ridden for twenty years. I had landed a backside 900. I still could not see it.

Somebody watched one run and told me in about nine seconds. My back hand was opening early and taking my shoulders with it. I had been doing it for years, on every single turn, and I had never once felt it happen.

That is the whole thing. It is not that you need years of coaching. You need somebody who is not inside your own head to watch one clip and tell you the truth.

Nobody has ever looked at your riding as a whole.

One hour, live, your footage on the screen and paused where it goes wrong. You leave with a plan for the rest of your season.

You have had tips. Dozens of them. From a friend on the lift, from a video at midnight, from a lesson you booked once in 2019 with an instructor who had never seen you ride before and never saw you again.

Every one of them was about a piece. Your knees. Your back hand. Your weight.

Nobody has ever sat with all of it at once and told you which piece is actually causing the others. That is the difference between a tip and being coached, and it is the reason you can fix three things and still ride the same.

Because usually it is one thing. The other four are just what your body does to survive that one thing. Chase them individually and you are playing whack a mole for a whole season.

How the hour actually runs
1
You send footage firstBefore we ever speak. So the hour is not spent describing your riding to me.
2
I watch it before the callYou do not have to arrive with good questions. That is my job, not yours.
3
We go through it livePaused, scrubbed, frame by frame, and you can argue with me. Most people do.
4
You leave with the orderNot a list of five things. The one to fix first, and what it unlocks.
5
You keep the recordingWhich matters, because you will not remember any of this by March.

"I have paid for lessons at three different resorts. This was the first time anyone told me why, instead of what."

AI Coach

Tommie’s coaching at a fraction of the cost, from an AI Coach trained on it

My coaching brain, on tap, at 11pm the night before a trip. It never makes you feel like you should have known already.

There are questions you have never asked anybody.

Not because they are hard. Because you have been riding for six years and you feel like you are supposed to know this by now. So you nod on the lift, you look it up later, and you get forty minutes of a stranger talking about something slightly different.

Which way is my binding supposed to face. Am I actually goofy. Why does my back foot burn. Is this board too soft for me. Should it still feel this hard after six years.

Every one of those has a real answer, and not one of them is a stupid question. They only feel that way because nobody ever gave you a place to ask them.

I get asked the same forty questions every season, and I have answered them for thirty years.

So I trained this on all of it. My lessons, my breakdowns, the way I explain things, and the order I teach them in.

It is not a search engine, and it does not answer like one. Ask it why your heelside washes out and it asks you what your back hand is doing, the same as I would.

What riders actually read

Every visitor gives a scroll reading, so this is worth trusting from the very first testers. If most riders stop before halfway, the page is too long whatever else the numbers say.

Your time

These two numbers are the only thing the app uses to work out what riders are told about availability. Nothing about slots or turnaround is written anywhere else, so changing them here changes every page at once.
